The self-declared National Resistance Movement General told off the court session that he could not take plea in a Kajiado Court as his case was booked for a High Court session in Nairobi’s Milimani Law Courts.
“I cannot take a plea here in Kajiado as Justice Kimaru is waiting for me in Nairobi Law Courts,” he said to a silent court, hours after word emerged that he had been charged in a Kajiado Court for treason, after “he aided Raila Odinga commit an illegality.”

Miguna has been sought after by his lawyers for two days running, even after the police failed to avail him in court following the orders given by High Court Judge Luka Kimaru at Milimani Law Courts in Nairobi.
This comes even as demonstrations raptured in Kisumu and Migori Counties, with dozens of youth demanding that the police release Miguna or produce him in court for charges.

Dr Miguna appeared for the first time in the limelight after a Sunday night shift of the police cell, and later his lawyer Edwin Sifuna claimed that his health condition was in deplorable state.
A photo of Miguna emerged following his arrest on Friday, January 2, 2018. In the picture, Mr. Miguna who was allegedly before a Kajiado court on Tuesday morning is seen alighting from a black vehicle. He has also been charged with unlawful involvement in a criminally organised group (National Resistance Movement) and treason.

Summoned to DCI

Meanwhile, Siaya Senator James Orengo, Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho and Nairobi Businessman Jimi Wanjigi among other Nasa politicians have been ordered to report to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations.

The politicians have been given an anticipatory bail of Sh 100,000 and are set to appear for grilling for having attended the controversial swearing-in ceremony of Nasa leader Raila Odinga on January 30 at Uhuru Park in Nairobi.
The Court sitting in Nairobi on Tuesday ordered the police, not to arrest any of the Nasa leaders who attended the controversial oath.
Other politicians who have been summoned include: Simba Arati (Dagoretti North), Senator George Khaniri (Vihiga County), Nasa CEO Norman Magaya, Homa Bay Women Representative Gladys Wanga, Makadara MP George Aladwa, Embakasi East MP Babu Owino (whose arrest warrant was issued and later revoked on Monday), Nasa strategist and economist David Ndii and ODM’s Executive Director Oduor Ong’wen.
Already the police, in the recent crackdown, have arrested Ruaraka MP Tom Kajwang for participating “directly in the illegal event to swear-in Nasa leader Raila Odinga.”
