Residents of Donholm area in the outskirts of Nairobi were treated to a shocking incident after a police officer attached to the Soweto Police Station, Kayole was found dead in his house.
According to reports, the officer identified as Patrick Macharia was found hanging from a rope in his house, after he failed to report to work.
The body of the deceased, was discovered on Tuesday by his colleagues who had tried to reach him on phone in vain and decided to look for him in person.

However, reaching his house they found the door locked from inside. Upon gaining entry to the house they were shocked to find him hanging from a rope that was tied to the bedroom door.
Neighbours, who spoke to the press, said that the officer always travels upcountry on his off-days, but this time round he had not travelled.
He was supposed to report back on duty on Tuesday, after finishing his leave days.
Police have launched investigations into the incident.
