President Uhuru Kenyatta on Wednesday sent a congratulatory message to former Citizen TV news anchor Kanze Dena after making first press State House press briefing.
Ms. Dena, who was appointed as State House Deputy Spokesman and Deputy Head of Presidential Strategic Communication Unit (PSCU), made her maiden address donned in a dark blue suit.
In a congratulatory tweet, President Kenyatta said: "Great inaugural briefing this morning by my new deputy spokesperson."
Kanze’s address was a bit different from those made by State House spokesperson Manoah Esipisu, who mostly uses the English language in his addresses.
On her part, Kanze gave the briefing a flair of her own personality by using Swahili, which she anchored in for the last 9 years at Citizen TV.
She updated journalists on President Uhuru Kenyatta’s diary for the rest of the week. As per the itinerary, the Head of State will on Thursday (tomorrow) fly to Addis Ababa , Ethiopia for the IGAD meeting.
